  Increased use of fire, electricity, and gas during home isolation,
  and disinfectants are also used frequently,
  there may be some
  overlooked fire safety hazards in daily life,
  If not paid more attention,
  it may cause a fire.
  I. Home Fire Safety Tips
  Control the fire source
  1. Personnel must not leave when using gas for cooking;
  2. Never smoke in bed, and do not discard cigarette butts casually;
  3. Do not privately install or connect electrical wiring, and do not overload electrical equipment;
  4. Mobile phones and power banks should be unplugged after charging;
  5. Do not fold electric blankets or use them for extended periods of time, and unplug them after use;
  6. When using electric heaters, do not place them too close to combustibles.
  Control the combustibles in your home
  1. Clean up accumulated combustible debris in the home and public areas, dispose of household garbage promptly, and throw it into outdoor garbage bins;
  2. During the epidemic, the storage of medical alcohol should not be excessive, and it must be tightly sealed. When using it, keep it away from fire and heat sources;
  3. In addition, common household items such as air fresheners, insecticides, toilet water, and perfumes contain flammable chemical components, and should be kept away from open flames and high-temperature objects when used.
  Special attention should be paid to electric bicycles
  In recent years, there have been frequent fire accidents involving electric bicycles. Electric bicycle fires are generally caused by battery faults or overcharging, and are accompanied by battery explosions. The high-molecular materials used in the body will produce a large amount of toxic smoke when burned and decomposed.
  1. Electric bicycles must not be parked in stairwells, evacuation passages, and emergency exits;
  2. Do not privately connect wires for charging;
  3. It is prohibited to charge electric bicycles indoors, in public entrances, evacuation corridors, stairwells, and emergency exits;
  4. After charging, unplug the power immediately, and never overcharge.
  II. Commonly Used Home Fire Fighting Methods
  Electrical fires: The power should be cut off immediately before extinguishing the fire; if the power cannot be cut off, water or foam must not be used for extinguishing, and a carbon dioxide extinguisher, dry powder extinguisher or dry sand should be used with a metal-free horn nozzle.
  Oil pan fires: Never use water to extinguish oil pan fires, otherwise the oil fire will splatter everywhere. Quickly pour chopped cold vegetables into the pan, or use a pot lid, a large wet cloth, or a fire blanket to cover the top of the oil pan for a period of time to extinguish the fire.
  Gas leak: If a gas leak occurs, do not touch any electrical switches, do not use lighters or flashlights, quickly turn off the gas source, and open the windows for ventilation. If you need to call the police, move away from the scene before making the call.
  III. How to Escape Correctly in Case of Fire
  1. In case of fire, evacuate immediately, do not linger over belongings;
  2. Use emergency exits to evacuate, and do not use elevators;
  3. In the initial stage of a fire, covering your mouth and nose with a wet towel can effectively reduce smoke inhalation, but under high temperature and dense smoke conditions, a wet towel is almost useless, so keep calm and choose a smoke-free escape route.
  4. When opening the door, first touch the doorknob with your hand to feel the temperature. If the door is hot, do not open it, and take measures to prevent smoke and reduce temperature.
  5. If all escape routes are blocked by fire, immediately return to the room, use a flashlight, wave your clothes, etc., to send a distress signal to the outside.
